The Cookie Society was birthed from an idea that Marissa and Jeff Allen (Husband and Wife) had. Marissa has always had a love for baking in general, after a trip to NYC with her husband she discovered a famous bakery with amazing cookies. She then turned her focus to making her version of the “Ultimate Cookie”. “Indulgent, Crispy Edges, Chewy, and Tender Center”, after months of recipe development she had it! It started with a Chocolate Chip cookie then came the famous Banana Pudding cookie and from there the flavors expanded to over 70. She began giving cookies to anyone that would take them, her main takers were her husband’s teammates (A retired 8-year NFL veteran). The reviews from the locker room were outstanding! She began receiving orders from the locker room before she was selling her cookies, and that’s when Marissa and Jeff decided that they could turn this passion into a business.
After about a year of brainstorming they decided to make it official and start their business and in 2018 “Cookie Society” was established. Cookie Society began in 2018 as strictly an online business shipping orders nationwide, slowly they began doing pop-ups and farmers’ markets across the DFW (Dallas and surrounding areas). After 2 years their first Brick and Mortar was opened in Frisco, TX in April of 2020 in the midst of a pandemic. In November of 2020 Cookie Society was named one of Oprah’s favorite things of 2020.
