Like many who picked up new hobbies during quarantine, a mother of energetic twins tried her hand at woodworking and created something her children would never forget. Pilar Donnelly, the owner/operator of Wish You Wood Custom Creations, LLC, first discovered a passion for building in hopes of entertaining her sons during the pandemic and ended up with a successful business.
Donnelly says she had never used power tools in her life, but that didn’t stop her from creating a custom playhouse for her boys to play in. Wielding a nail gun and lumber, she was able to bring their dreams to life. Throughout the pandemic, Donnelly showcased her work on social media where people fawned over the project as it progressed and, thus, her business was born!
Proclaimed self-taught carpenter and super mom, Donnelly is as passionate about building custom works everyone can enjoy as she is about her two sons.
